Overview
In honor of Earth Day 2020, American fashion brand Anne Klein recently released a line of solar powered watches dubbed the Considered Collection.
​
This was part of an effort on behalf of the company to reduce the number of batteries that end up in landfills. Unlike regular batteries, solar-powered batteries never need to be replaced.

The Considered Collection is centered on the following ideals:
genuineness, thoughtfulness, cultivation, and community.

Powered by the SUN
Every watch in Anne Klein Considered Collection is powered by the solar battery. This means it's completely rechargeable and won't need to replace every few years like traditional battery powered watches. In other words: More sunny sustainable energy, less harmful waste.
Renewable Plastic
Understanding the harm of traditional plastics, Anne Klein chose to use cellulose acetate in the production of the Considered Collection. A non-petroleum plastic, it's made from natural cotton and wood fibers, offering renewability and keeping the toxic waste at bay.
Responsible Leathers
Animal free and vegan. Responsibly engineered and cruelty-free, most alternatives are made from a host of organic materials that would otherwise go to waste. Anne Klein chose their leather to be made from apple peels, pineapple and cork, reducing contribution to both landfills and pollution.
